The chemical structure of a given terpene molecule is identical regardless of the plant source. For example, Cannabis-derived terpenes are derived from the cannabis plant, which means they contain different types of phytochemicals (and) also contain unique secondary compounds; whereas botanical-derived terpenes are derived from plants other than cannabis. While there are some differences in composition and concentration of certain secondary compounds, the differences are relatively small and do not affect the basic structure of the terpene.
