Flower naturally contains terpenes; however, terpenes added for extraction purposes should be added after the completion of the high heat stage of extraction. Heat will cause some terpenes to evaporate during extraction, so to keep more of the terpene aroma in a plant, add the terpenes late in the extraction process. Additionally, there are many kinds of "flower sprays," which vary greatly in quality and are sometimes very harsh.
